Description
Frigaid is
a breakthrough in HVAC technology developed specifically for
use in air
conditioning and refrigeration compressors.
Taking advantage of the age-old problem of oil migration out into the
system, the non-particulate oil base acts as a carrier for an activated
polar molecule. This component electrostatically bonds to and conditions
the metal surfaces of the evaporator and condenser coils, displacing the
build-up of refrigerant oil which has been acting as a deterrent to heat
transfer. This process replaces a thermally insulative layer of
refrigerant oil with a thermally conductive molecular film of Frigaid.
The polarity of the molecular film attracts the refrigerant to the outer
walls offering the freon new sites for heat exchange. The result is
accelerated heat transfer, which is in fact one of the basis for the
patent.
Additionally,
by stabilizing the boundary film between moving parts if the compressor,
the lubricity of standard refrigerant oil is improved by over 1500%
while remaining withing specifications.
Overall,
with a one time application the product offers advanced lubrication,
increased and more efficient refrigeration capacity, and a decrease in
the time the compressor is actually running, thus producing substantial
energy savings. Field trials of Frigaid have established the benefits
for which the product was designed.
